Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson was an American actor best famous for playing Buffy Summers, in the popular film Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Some other notable roles include Rebecca Becky Granger from the telefilm Nightingales and the short-lived NBC show of the same title. Erica Paget played Early Edition in CBS and Marlowe Viccellio starred in Psych. Born in California, Swanson became interested in acting as an early child. She began her career in the field of advertising, where she appeared in commercials for a number of companies. In 1984 she made her debut in a screen show of the sitcom on NBC called It's Your Turn. The actress made her debut on the big screen two years laterin the romance comedy Pretty in Pink. She is known for her hairdo and breathless voiceSwan is now playing minor characters over the last few times. Flowers in the Attic won her the Young Artist Award in the category of Best Young Actress in Horror or Mystery Motion Picture in 1989.
