April Lockhart

April Lockhart (born July 4 in 1995) began her musical journey at the age of 7 in which she began piano and guitar classes. April Lockhart penned her first song, Different at the age 12 years old. At 14 old, she dedicated an enormous amount of time developing song ideas as well as perfecting the song. Then, in the following months, April began to go on trips with her dad and write either in NY as well as LA. April was also able to add other themes in the song "Take My Hand" for a few of her acquaintances who faced concerns like peer pressure issues, or even teenager suicide. Lockhart also enjoys an increasing popularity as a lifestyle influencer and is employed by the renowned Clean Beauty company Ilia. She has a disability that is a component of her identity, but it is not the whole image. Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't overlook her disability. However, it doesn't insist on the issue. What is the message? That we all contain multitudes and that we are all unique and that we are beyond our physical bodies. Lockhart speaks through video from Nashville. "I don't wish for it to dictate my existence. I'm not looking to be merely identified as a specialist in disability. It doesn't impact my daily life. I conduct things normally, and I've discovered the best way for me to adapt the things. It's also a part of my life, and I think it's something that needs to be addressed. Self-acceptance is a long marathon however Lockhart is a true inspiration on that front. Even so, Lockhart admits to going through periods of feeling uneasy about her appearance as well as wearing clothes with arms. Now she wears whatever outfit she wishes and shares pictures on Facebook with pride. Self-love she said is like a journey. "I do not think that you'll be there," she said. However, that is typical for people that is prone to doubts. The people around you with that truly understand you and see into your heart are the most important people to help you remember what you're worrying about.
